Thru
Thru does not collect, store, or share any of your personal data.
There are no accounts, no ads, no analytics, and no tracking. Everything the app knows about
you stays on your iPhone.
Health data
With your permission, Thru reads two things from Apple Health: your step count and your
walking + running distance. It uses them only to calculate how far you’ve travelled along
the trail.
Thru only ever reads this data. It never writes, modifies, or deletes anything in Apple
Health, and your health data is never uploaded or sent anywhere. You can change or revoke access
at any time in Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices → Thru.
On your device
A few preferences, like your start date, units, and chosen character, are saved locally on your iPhone so the app and its widget can remember them. They never leave your device, and deleting the app removes them.
Location & weather
Thru does not access your location. Weather and trail photos are fetched for points along the virtual trail, not for where you are. These requests contain no information about you.
